Taliban insurgents killed a polio vaccinator in Afghanistan’s eastern Paktia province on Tuesday morning, police said.
The victim, identified as Bakht Wazir, was killed by militants in Zazai Aryoub district, said Sardar Wali Tabasom, a spokesman for provincial police.
Taliban had imposed ban on polio vaccination few days ago and had issued warning to the provincial public health directorate.
Taliban has yet to make comment on the incident.
