At least 16 people have been killed in separate incidents of roof collapse in west and south Afghanistan, officials said on Sunday.
The incidents happened in Herat and Kandahar provinces amid snowfall and rain.
Six of the deaths happened in Enjil district of Herat and included women and children, said Jailani Farhad, a spokesman for provincial governor. Two happened in Adraskan district of the same province, he said.
The incident in Kandahar involved eight deaths and 14 injuries, which happened in Spin Boldak district, said Bahir Ahmadi, a spokesman for provincial governor.
