Militants set fire to a girls school in Kabul province last night, Afghan authorities said on Tuesday.
Boy Hazara Nasiri High School is located in Shakar Dara district.
Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman released two pictures which showed fire and aftermath of the incident.
He blamed the Taliban for the attack, but the group’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid rejected involvement.
The Education Ministry in a statement said that 700 students were used to attend the school. It said that the school’s attendance sheets, library and some chairs were burnt due to the fire.
This is not the first time that a school is torched in Afghanistan.
