At least four people have died over the last 24 hours due to the extreme cold weather in Afghanistan’s central-eastern province of Ghazni, an official said on Thursdsay.
Amanullah Kamrani, deputy of provincial council, said that two of the deaths were policemen.
He said that the policemen died in Dara-e Qyaq area of Jaghatu district.
The other two, both civilians, died in Nahur and Qarabagh districts.
Temperature in Ghazni has become as low as minus 20 C this week.
