A bomb exploded in Mazar-i-Sharif city, capital of northern Balkh province, on Saturday, killing at least one person, officials said.
Two others were wounded in the blast which happened around 10:00a.m. in Police District 10 of the city, said Adil Shah, a spokesman for provincial police.
The blast was triggered by a magnetic bomb which had been attached to Corolla type car, he said.
Officials in Abu Ali Sina Balkhi said that they had received one death and injured from the incident.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
