Talks between the United States and the Taliban will resume in two days, sources told 1TV on Thursday.
The sides took pause from their renewed talks last month, which focused on ceasefire. The pause came following a suicide attack on a US base outside Kabul that killed two civilians.
During the break for the Taliban to consult with their leaders, reports circulated that they agreed to a temporary ceasefire, but the group rejected the reports.
The Taliban said that their consultations were on reducing violence.
US-Taliban peace negotiations began earlier this year, though President Donald Trump abruptly suspended talks in September citing a deadly attack in Kabul which killed also an American.
