Afghanistan’s Hussain Bakhsh Safari defeated his Russian rival Peter Berg in the Fight Nights Global in in Moscow on Saturday.
The 25-year-old emerged victorious on points and after fighting three rounds at the Adrenaline Stadium.
With the win, Safari’s wins in MMA fights climbed to five. He has one loss and one draw in his record.
The match handed Berg his second loss. He has three wins in his record.
Congratulatory messages poured in for Safari following his latest win, including from President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah.
