At least 10 Afghan soldiers were killed when an army post was hit by a bomb in the country’s southern Helmand province on Saturday, officials said.
Four others were wounded in the bombing which happened around 4:30a.m. in Sangin district, Nawab Shah Zadran, deputy spokesman for the army’s 215 Maiwand Corps told 1TV.
He said that there were 18 soldiers in the facility when the attack happened and that additional forces were dispatched to the site of the attack.
Taliban took responsibility for the attack and claimed higher number of casualties.
