Afghan presidential candidate Rahmatullah Nabil on Thursday called for the results of the 28 September poll to be cancelled.
Speaking at a press conference in Kabul, Nabil said that he had lost hope that clean votes would be separated from unclean votes.
He said that the Taliban should declare ceasefire and that a reconciliation government should be formed, headed by one who would be acceptable to all sides.
Nabil said that Afghans don’t want Taliban’s emirate, but neither current republic which violates laws.
The candidate said that the peace process should turn from US-Pakistan-Taliban process to intra-Afghan process.
Nabil said that revision of the Constitution, integration of Taliban fighters into government security forces could be discussed in peace talks. He also emphasized on the importance of disarmament, saying stability would not come without it.
Results from presidential remains unclear more than two months after the vote.
Protesting candidates have blocked recount and audit process in several provinces of the country, citing fraud.
