Afghan political analyst Waheed Mujhda was shot dead in capital Kabul on Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Mujhda was on way to mosque to offer prayers when he was attacked two gunmen on motorcycle near Russian Embassy in Police District 7 of the city, said Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for Interior Ministry.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
