Afghanistan lost their first match of Emerging Teams Asia Cup as Pakistan claimed eight-wicket victory in Bangladesh on Thursday.
Afghanistan, who batted first after winning the toss, made 138 before they were all out in 42.2 overs.
Pakistan chased down the target in 35.3 overs, with their Rohail Nazir hitting 53 not out.
Omair Yousuf and captain Saud Shakeel scored 38 and 30 respectively.
For Afghanistan, Munir Ahmad (41) scored most runs.
Muhammad Mohsin Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan as he claimed four wickets.
Afghanistan will play against Oman in their next game of the tournament on Saturday.
