Afghanistan has been ranked as the least safe country in the world in 2018, according to a new global poll.
The annual survey by Gallup asked if people felt safe walking at night and whether they had been victims of crime.
The survey revealed that 13 percent of Afghans said they felt safe, the least percentage in 142 countries. The percentage is down from 20% in 2017.
The poll also found that 50 percent of Afghans had property or money stolen in the past year, and a record-high 29 percent had been assaulted or mugged.
Afghanistan also scored the lowest (38) out of 100 for law and order.
Singapore, Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates scored highest, respectively for law and order. Singapore, Norway and UAE were most safe countries.
