Eight civilians including children were killed when an explosion went off in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province on Monday, police said.
Six more civilians were wounded in the bomb blast which happened in Akakheil village of Dande Shahabuddin area, Javed Basharat, a spokesman for provincial police, told 1TV.
Four children and two women were among those killed, he said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
The incident comes two days after 16 civilians were killed in two separate bomb blasts on a single day in Takhar and Paktika.
A record 4,313 civilians were injured or killed between July and September, a 42 percent increase from the same period last year, the United Nations said in a report last month.
