Afghanistan’s Independent Election Commission said on Sunday it will announce delayed preliminary results from presidential election on November 14.
The results from September 28 poll were originally scheduled for October 19, but they were delayed due to technical problems.
“We don’t want to sacrifice transparency for speed,” IEC chief Hawa Alam Nuristani said at a press conference.
She assured that the commission would not miss the new deadline.
