Five children were killed in a bomb blast in Afghanistan’s northern Faryab province on Sunday morning, officials said.
The bomb had been planted by Taliban insurgents in Pashtun Kot district, army’s 209 Shaheen Corps said in a statement.
The blast happened as children were playing. One child was injured, the statement said.
Taliban has yet to make comment on the report.
