Afghanistan won the Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Ireland in India on Sunday.
Mohammad Nabi's blazing 89 and Rashid Khan's three quick wickets in an over set up Afghanistan's 28-run win over Ireland in final match. It was Afghanistan's 11th consecutive T20I win.
The hosts after losing the toss posted their highest total in a T20I match against Ireland.
It was opener Mohammad Shahzad who made quick fire 72 off 43 balls and set the platform for the rest of the batsmen to launch at the end.
In chase of 234 target, the visitors showed spark and scrap to get past 200, but in the end, they had conceded just too many.
Afghanistan, in truth, were appalling in the Powerplay but fought back nicely thereafter to whitewash Ireland 3-0 in the T20 series.
Mohammad Nabi named man of the match and also the best batsman of the series while Rashid Khan was named the best bowler of the series.
Following the T20I series, both sides scheduled to play five One-International series at the same venue, starting from March 15.
