Afghanistan Cricket Board(ACB) on Monday said that it planned to build new cricket grounds in Helmand and Zabul provinces.
According to ACB statement, the stadiums will be built with the financial support of the Afghan Ministry of Counter Narcotics(MCN).
Last December, the ACB officials have officially started construction work on a cricket ground in eastern Logar province that will be built on 15-acres of land and will cost around $500,000.
The funds of Logar stadium will be provided by India and will take two years to complete.
Earlier, officials have also informed about the construction of another cricket ground in eastern Paktia province, which is expected to be built in 35-acres of land. The construction costs about $1.5 million and will be paid from the ACB’s development budget.
