Afghan parliament on Saturday approved nominees for interior minister and attorney general.
Taj Mohammad Jahid, a former army commander, received 190 votes from the 225-member strong session to become interior minister.
Jahid was nominated as interior minister by the president following Olomi's resignation from the post in February.
Mohammad Farid Hamidi,a formermember of the Human Rights Commission, secured 200 votes and became the attorney general.
Parliament Speaker Abdul Raouf Ibrahmi urged the government to introduce new nominees for posts including director of intelligence agency.
